Getting Started

System Requirements

• Windows: Windows 10 or later. Windows Terminal recommended for best emoji display.
• macOS: macOS 11 or later. Dark terminal theme recommended. Apple Silicon Macs require Rosetta 2 for audio features.
• Linux: Most modern distributions with a terminal emulator.

Installation

FlashBoss is available on Steam. Simply click Install and Steam will handle the rest.

First Launch

When you first launch FlashBoss, you'll be greeted by the Academy gates. From here you can:

• Create a new hero (slots 1-5)
• Access the Backup Vault (slot 6)
• Open Settings (cog icon)

Creating Your Hero

Character creation takes you through several steps:

1. Enter your name - Choose a hero name (up to 12 characters)
2. Choose your avatar - Pick an animal companion
3. Select your master - Each master offers different difficulty levels and teaching styles
4. Select a language pack - If multiple packs are available

The Sanctum

After character creation, you'll enter the Sanctum - your main hub for learning. Here you can access lessons, review cards, challenge bosses, and track your progress.
